The purpose of the Stronger Connections Grant from TEA is to support systemic changes in how school districts address and respond to bullying, violence, and hate. HISD was fortunate to receive one of the two grants awarded in Region 16. Our goal is to meet the academic and non-academic needs of students by creating safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environments, which will lead to better academic performance and improved mental, emotional, behavioral, and physical well-being.

Parents, all incoming 7th grade students will need vaccinations. Please contact the school nurse if you have any questions or need additional information. Parents can access immunization records on Skyward in the health tab.

Guardian Program Parent Information Letter
Students are allowed to wear costumes on Tuesday, Oct. 31st. Please remember that they must be in dress code, no weapons, no masks, no gore, no blood. Can't wait to see everyone!!!
Technology is working hard
Join us tonight for our free Family Webinar with Daybreak Health either in person or on Zoom. If you register and attend, your child will earn a day to use their technology during Lunch on Friday 10/19. Also, the Round Up class with the most parent participants will receive a pizza party courtesy of HJH administrators.
In case your student did not come home with a picture order form, here are the package options. If you would like to order pictures, please bring the correct amount and there will be extra envelopes available. There will not be any change so correct amounts must be sent. Thank you!!!
